1. What information we collect
- Name, delivery address, email address, and phone number (if provided) when you place an order
- Order history and the items you’ve purchased
- Basic account information if you create a customer account
- We do not collect or store your card details — payments are processed directly by Stripe and PayPal, and card information never reaches our server
2. How we use your information
We use your information to: process and fulfil your order, communicate with you about your order (confirmation, dispatch, and any issues), handle returns and customer service queries, and meet our legal/accounting obligations (e.g. record-keeping for tax purposes).
3. Who we share your information with
We share relevant order information with the following third parties, only as needed to fulfil your order:
- Stripe and PayPal — to process payment
- Brevo — to send order confirmation and account-related emails
- Our courier partner — to deliver your order
- If you purchased via eBay or Facebook, the relevant order and product information is also synced with that marketplace as part of normal order processing
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and do not use it for marketing without your consent.
4. Cookies
Our site uses essential cookies required for the shopping cart and checkout to function. We do not currently use advertising or tracking cookies.
5. How long we keep your information
We retain order information for as long as necessary to fulfil the order, handle any returns, and meet our legal obligations — including UK requirements to keep financial records (generally up to 6 years for tax purposes).
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction or deletion of it, object to certain processing, and request a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact store@bilbyton.co.uk.
