Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 13 August 2026

1. Who we are

Bilbyton Store (store.bilbyton.co.uk) is operated by an individual trader based in England. You can contact us at store@bilbyton.co.uk. Our full correspondence address is provided as part of your order confirmation, or in advance if arranging local pickup.

2. What we sell

We sell secondhand and used IT equipment, and occasionally other general items. Each listing states the item’s condition (New/Open Box, Grade A, Grade B, Grade C, or For Parts/Not Working). Please read the condition and description carefully before ordering, as items are secondhand and may show signs of previous use consistent with their stated grade.

3. Orders and how a contract is formed

Placing an order through our checkout is an offer to buy. A contract is only formed once we send you an order confirmation email. We reserve the right to cancel an order before dispatch (for example, if an item turns out to be unavailable or was listed in error), in which case you will receive a full refund.

4. Prices and payment

All prices are shown in GBP (£). We are not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added to prices. Payment is taken securely via Stripe or PayPal at checkout; we do not see or store your card details.

5. Delivery

We currently deliver within the UK only, by courier or local pickup (where offered). Orders are typically dispatched within 3 working days of payment being received, unless otherwise stated on the product listing. Delivery timeframes after dispatch depend on the courier service selected at checkout.

6. Your right to cancel (changed your mind)

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. To cancel, contact us at store@bilbyton.co.uk before or within 14 days of delivery. You will then have a further 14 days to return the item to us. You are responsible for the cost of returning the item. Refunds are issued to your original payment method once we’ve received the item back, or evidence you’ve sent it, whichever is earlier.

This cancellation right does not apply to items sold explicitly “As-Is” or “For Parts/Not Working” where the listing has clearly stated this — see Section 8.

7. Faulty or not-as-described items

Separately from the above, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply if an item is faulty, not as described, or not of satisfactory quality (taking into account that it is sold as used, at the condition grade stated). Within 30 days of delivery you may be entitled to a full refund; after that, we will offer a repair, replacement, or partial/full refund as appropriate. Where an item is genuinely faulty or not as described, we will cover the reasonable cost of return postage — contact us first at store@bilbyton.co.uk to arrange this before sending anything back.

8. Items sold “As-Is” or “For Parts / Not Working”

Some listings are explicitly marked as sold As-Is or For Parts/Not Working. These items are sold on the basis that they may not be in full working order, as stated in the listing. The 14-day changed-mind cancellation right in Section 6 does not apply to these items. Your statutory rights under Section 7 still apply to the extent the item does not match its stated As-Is/For Parts description.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law. Otherwise, our liability is limited to the value of your order.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
